The Victoria Golden Tide collegiate baseball program, which just completed its third season in the Canadian College Baseball Conference (CCBC), is excited to add to its organizational strengths for the 2024-25 season.
Todd Haney and Scott Anderson have been added to the program leadership — Haney as Director of Baseball Operations, and Anderson as Pitching Development Advisor. Haney is the head coach of the Victoria HarbourCats of the West Coast League, Anderson is the team’s pitching coach, and both are former pros who have been top college level coaches for a long time, respected in the game.
Haney will work with the front office, HarbourCats managing partner Swanson and GM Christian Stewart, and Golden Tide head coach Ethan Fox and associate head coach Troy Birtwistle, to enhance the development program — training, practices, and scheduling, including a trip to face NWAC teams in September. The Edwards Family Training Centre and Royal Athletic Park will be key components.
“Todd and Scott are tremendous people and very positive in their leadership style, guiding young men to the right attitude to reach their potential,” said Swanson. “All these people have worked closely together with the successful HarbourCats program and we look forward to even more strides with the Golden Tide, under the guidance of Ethan and Troy.”
